Small Business Alliance Partners

Alliance Partner Overview

Formed and incorporated in January 2013 as the Warren County Small Business Development Alliance (WCSBDA), a 501c(6) non-profit organization. The SBDC is an operation under the WCSBDA umbrella, and its fiscal Host is the Warren County Port Authority.

The model for the Warren County SBDA is unique in three ways:

  1. The SBDC is housed in a stand-alone non-profit organization, not a university, chamber or tech center.
  2. It is a public-private partnership whereby all parties are working together on the ground floor to facilitate business start-ups and growth.
  3. This is a collaborative, county-wide effort (not proprietary as other models), as it was recognized that small business development ultimately helps all in the county, not just one jurisdiction.

The Warren County SBDC is a paying member of 6 County Chambers of Commerce as well as business networking and civic organizations = External Focused.

Public entity jurisdictions pay between $1000 to $3000 per year depending on population size. Private sector entities pay between $500 to $1500 per year depending on the level of benefits that they are seeking (Gold-Silver-Bronze packages).

The Warren County SBDC also applies for annual grant funding to the Small Business Administration and State of Ohio Development Services Agency.

Members participate in 4 meetings per year, as well as get access and discounts to the annual Business Expo. Stakeholders also receive recognition at our classes and events.
